Explore why and how to convert CentOS Linux servers to RedHat Enterprise Linux, plan the conversion process, and install the required tools for conversion.

Analyze a server to identify and remediate any issues that might cause problems with conversion and then convert it to Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

Confirm that a conversion to RHEL completed successfully and troubleshoot potential problems if it did not.

Use Red Hat Satellite to convert a server from CentOS Linux to RHEL.

Explain when to perform an in-place upgrade of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, what upgrade paths are supported, and what to consider when planning an upgrade.

Perform prerequisite steps to configure a server and to install the required software for an in-place upgrade of RHEL.

Ensure that a server is ready to be upgraded by running, evaluating, and addressing the results of a pre-upgrade report.

Run an in-place upgrade of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and be prepared to troubleshoot potential issues with the upgrade.

Complete the upgrade by performing final tasks and verifying that the in-place upgrade succeeded.
